The Consumer Contracts Regulations

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (the “Regulations”), if you are contracting with us as a consumer online, you have the right to cancel your contract at any time up to 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive the goods or services you ordered. After which you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. For example, if you receive your order on a Monday, you have 14 days from Tuesday to return your order to us. To do this you must let us know by replying to your order confirmation email or contacting us at support@powerinspired.com. Refunds for orders cancelled under the Regulations will be processed in accordance with your statutory rights.

You must take good care of the goods while they are in your possession. The goods must be returned to us at your cost. It’s important that an unwanted item is returned in its original condition. We expect this to mean that you have kept all original packaging and labels, and that it’s undamaged, unopened and unused.

If you have paid for delivery but wish to return the full order by post you are entitled to a refund on the outbound delivery charge originally paid within 14 days of receipt of the order. Please note that the delivery charge refund will be the equivalent value of standard delivery. If you’re only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the delivery cost of those items.

This is not intended to be a full statement of your rights under the Regulations. The Regulations only apply to consumers.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Regulations or other legislation.

If you return an item which has expired the 30 day period it will be returned to the sender.

Dead On Arrival Guarantee

Our Power Inspired website orders are covered by a Dead On Arrival Guarantee. Should the goods be found to be defective out of the box, we will send a replacement item and collect the defective item at the same time. This is only applicable for UK Mainland orders for standard product, not custom products. All we ask is that you notify us in writing within 48 hours of delivery so you must inspect the goods immediately upon delivery for damage to both the packaging and goods to ascertain if there is any damage, defects or shortages. Please preserve the goods and all packaging intact for our inspection and we may ask for photographs.

Products that can not be returned

We can’t offer refunds or exchanges, unless faulty or not as described, on the following items:

  • bespoke and custom made items, such as battery cabinets or a UPS with a particular voltage setting,
  • products/services ordered from a third party on your behalf,
  • services, once these have been completed,
  • products sealed for technical purposes, such as SNMP cards or sealed software,
  • products with a protective battery isolation tab where the tab has been removed after delivery, such as DC UPS, or
  • any products which become mixed inseparably with other items after their delivery.

Return Material Authorisation (RMA)

If you wish to return goods please contact us to obtain a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) reference number. An RMA number can ONLY be obtained by contacting the returns department. This number must be clearly identifiable either on the product packaging and on the accompanying documentation. Note that we cannot accept delivery of any package without an authorised RMA number.

How to start the Returns Process and get an RMA Number

Please complete the form at the bottom of this page and submit. Once we receive your form we will initiate the Returns Process as appropriate to your case and we will advise you in writing of the RMA number.  We may ask for further information, request photographs or we may provide a Returns address.

If you return an item without the RMA number it will be returned to the sender.
